Eddie is the center of attraction, already shitfaced, and everyone has juice in their hands, courtesy of their host. Some I know or have seen before, in fact a few I saw during my first encounter with the Wizard. Have an uneasy feeling they will try to rip Eddie off, but not while I am here! Got to get him away, but how?
"Heeeey Caddy Man. How ya doing?"

Hey Eddie, and it's Cadillac Man.

"Ooops [laughing]. Hey Billieee come here!"

He reached in his pocket, pulled a wad of bills that would choke a horse, and peeled off a twenty. That moment every eye in the park zeroed in on Eddie's cash. So very quiet until "What do you want Eddie?"
Handing him the money, "Billieee, I want you to get the biggest coffee in the world for my friend Caddy Man here and one for you too!"

Billy is a juicer hardcore yet I notice that the bottle is three quarters full and he is taking baby sips. Very strange.

Billy, make sure it is fresh with milk and sugar.

"Okay Cadillac Man."

And one more thing, Billy.

"Yes?"

He knew what I meant by saying that: If you fuck Eddie out of money it's the same as fucking me.

"I get the message Cadillac Man."

Good. Now get going. I'm thirsty.

Slipped his booze into a bag and off he went.

Eddie called over another guy, gave him the same amount to buy more sixes. One more steps in, talks for a minute, and then walks away with money. I have to stop this before it gets out of hand. The others are talking and you know what they are thinking.

Eddie! That caught everybody's attention including him.

"Whaaat?"

Put your fucking money away before you fucking lose it!

All eyes are on me and that is good, maybe now they will have second thoughts, at least I am hoping. Surprise, surprise, Billy came back with a large coffee and it is fresh, too. Eddie, preoccupied with drinking and bullshitting, is unaware of his return. Billy says nothing to him and sits right back down in the same spot as if he never left.

Eddie is so shitfaced he deserves to be ripped off, happens to everybody. You expect it and when roles are reversed you do it, too. It is the street way. But I made a promise to watch over him and that is what I am going to do.
